I just woke up from dreaming of you

and see that you have written me back

my body is on fire

my heartbeat feels like an earth quake

I can’t breathe

my stomach is in knots

I can’t sleep, I can’t eat

its like living in a day dream

it is all too much

as much I wanted your response

I can’t bring myself to open it

because what you have to say is a defining moment

of what the future will hold

which will probably be not with you

for now, I will take my time

and take care of myself

try and tend to the fire that I feel in my body

settle the earth quakes down

and learn how to breathe again

because this has been far too powerful for what its worth.
