tarn

your forceful mesoscale left me blindsided;
the gusts of bitterly cold feelings of despair,
followed by large wildfires that ignite every capillary of my hopeless being.
waking up at midnight in oceans of tears,
anticipating and coveting that you would circle back like the seasons.
you were my tarn, solidifying what it meant to be a living entity,
weathering extreme conditions yet remaining idyllic and adaptable.
the echoes of you will resonate off the fells and down the valleys.
i wish i were there to yell down them with you.
